Hey volcanic ash cloud, how about you move?

Even though the day my parents arrived there was an RER and SNCF strike, we all arrived to Paris just fine. Now the problem is they can’t leave.

We had a great time in Paris and on our excursions to Mont St Michel, the Normandy Landing Beaches, and some Loire Valley chateaux (pics coming soon!). It was my dad’s first trip (and last he says…lol) to Europe, but I really think he had a good time. My mom of course loved everything.

Then came the news Thursday that all flights were grounded from CDG (and most of northern Europe) because of this volcanic ash cloud coming from Iceland. Surely things will be better by Sunday when they were scheduled to leave. No such luck. I’m back in Cambrai so I can teach tomorrow, but my parents will be hanging out at a hotel by the airport until (at least) Thursday. Boo! Go away ash cloud!

no thank you

move please!
